 Centennial Campus Magnet Middle School PTSA Committees and Volunteer Opportunities 2020-2021 School Year

  1. nd well-being. 
​1.       Vice President:  assist board in guiding PTSA events and policies, arranging opportunities for volunteers, communicating with members, staff, and students to ensure solid support.
2.       Fundraising committee:  work with other members to plan, advertise, and carry out fundraising events, spirit nights, and box tops.
3.       Hospitality committee: work with other members to coordinate staff appreciation events, including monthly hospitality treats and Teacher Appreciation Week (first week of May).  Coordinates student dances/social events.
4.       Cultural arts representative: Work with staff and United Arts Council to plan and carry out enriching opportunities for students.  Assists with carrying out the national PTA Reflections contest.
5.       Book Fair Committee:  Assists the media center specialist in planning, decorating, recruiting volunteers, and carrying out the book fair to earn money for the school media center.
6.       Finance Committee:   Ensures that all the money is spent on PTSA activities that support the PTSA’s mission and vision; conducts monthly review of the bank statements, Treasurer’s Report, and reconciliation statement.
7.       Spirit Wear representative: Sells and maintains inventory of all spirit wear and works to promote the selling of spirit wear.
8.       Family and Neighborhood Partnerships: Works with School Social Worker to assess needs of the school community and then builds relationships with local organizations and businesses to strengthen the school, expand the resources available to students, staff and families; assists with collection of school supplies, food drives, and Food Pantry Program.
9.       Inclusion and diversity:  Providing PTSA materials in multiple languages.  Attend and disseminate information from PTA diversity training. Conducting PTA outreach, networking and advocacy events focused on the specific needs and opportunities related to the circumstances of our diverse CCMMS families. Hosting or participating in diversity summits, town halls or community gatherings devoted to children’s educational success and well-being.
