The last Teacher treat cart of 2018 is right around the corner. Please check out the link below to see how you can help support the wonderful staff.
We need parental help on Thursday...please consider donating a small bit of your time!
Night of Xcellence...join the fun!
There are students in our school who know hunger....even in this season of feasting! CCMMS helps by providing a Food Pantry...a cabinet full of free food that students can take home so that they are sure to be fed over the weekend. This is CCMMS's form of Backpack Buddies. Our Food Pantry is very low at this point, and we need donations of the following items:
People should try to buy low sodium, but I know that's hard to do sometimes.
We need: peanut butter, crackers, soup, chicken, tuna, canned veggies (no green beans at this time please!), snacks, pasta, pasta sauce, dairy pure milk (shelf stable).
Students will bring in items the week of November 26-30. There will be a table at the front doors. For each item provided, we will give the student a raffle ticket. The winner will be able to put a pie in the face of a mystery teacher from their grade level!!!!
The Night of Xcellence is coming up...Thursday, December 6 from 5-7:30 pm. It's going to be a great celebration of all that our children have accomplished so far this year! Mark your calendars...we hope you will join us!!!!
The PTSA will be there in force, and we need YOU to help make this a success! We will be adding a few things to the festivities:
1. A spirit wear/membership table (because that's what we do!)
2. A 50/50 raffle (people buy a ticket to win 50% of whatever money is made during the raffle, and the PTSA gets the rest to fund our teacher luncheons, teacher grants, school dances, and other important works)
3. A silent auction...but only if we get DONATIONS! We need items for...
-night on the town basket (movie tix, dinner gc, wine glasses, ice cream gift card, uber gift card, and more)
-winter hibernation basket (blanket, fancy cocoas or teas, slippers, nail polish, red box gift card, etc)
-lottery basket (full of NC education lottery tickets)
-ANY basket you think would be fun to put together
These items can be purchased or donated from businesses.
Don't have any money or items to donate? Give us a few minutes of your time! We need people to help call businesses for donations as well! We can guide you!
Artsy? Come make our baskets beautiful for the event.
It takes a LOT of people to pull these events together for our school...won't you be one of them?
Please respond to this email if you can help with these needs, or have any ideas about how to make this night even more Xciting!
CCMMS PTSA is on the move! We have a lot to do this year to support our school:
Here is an easy way to support our students, teachers and PTSA. This fundraiser is in lieu of sending students home with the task of selling door-to-door, collecting money and delivering goods. What the heck?! Write a check, and save your conscience the trouble.
_____ $12 I want to join the PTSA and maybe attend some meetings.
_____ $20 I do not want to bake. So here is the money I would have spent on the cupcakes --though I might have won $10,000 on Nailed It.
_____ $40 I do not want to walk, swim, or run in any activity that has the word “thon” in it. Here is the money I would have spent on my child’s “free” t-shirt.
_____ $60 I do not want to hit up friends, family, and co-workers. So here’s the money I would have spent on wrapping paper.
_____ $80 Here’s money to forget my name and the fact that I exist. Seriously, stop sending me emails.
_____ $___ I want to show my support for my student by donating this amount
